What is SEAMO?
The SEAMO Olympiad is considered to be one of the most prestigious examinations. It is an international Math Olympiad competition that originated in Singapore. Students from different countries participate in the exam every year. The exam is conducted for students of classes 1 to 12.
Over 22 countries and more than 20,000 students participate in SEAMO Math Olympiads every year. This exam is conducted for both primary and secondary school students. The exam can be taken in online mode only & it’s a 2 level exam i.e SEAMO & SEAMO X.
SEAMO Math Olympiads’ main objective is to bring the youngest and brightest intelligent minds to the highest level. This exam is conducted in one phase which means there is no rejection process. This allows students to participate and compete in the test without fear and failure. Participating in examinations like these open up great opportunities in life.
Registration for SASMO is to be done online by downloading the registration form from the SEAMO official website. Students have to use their email id to register for the exam. Fee can be paid using cash, draft claims, or payment order.

Exam Pattern
The SEAMO & SEAMO X exam has 6 levels of question papers with different difficulty level. These are as follows:
- Paper A or lower primary (Grades 1 & 2)
- Paper B or middle primary (Grades 3 & 4)
- Paper C or upper primary (Grades 5 & 6)
- Paper D or junior (Grades 7 & 8)
- Paper E or intermediate (Grades 9 & 10)
- Paper F or senior (Grades 11 & 12)
For SEAMO & SEAMO X, there will be 25 questions of overall 100 marks in each category level. SEAMO level 1 exam is of 90 minutes duration.
- Section A – 10 questions (MCQ) – 3 Marks Each
- Section B – 10 questions (MCQ) – 4 marks each
- Section C – 5 questions (Open Ended) – 6 Marks Each
Exam Fee
SGD 12 (INR 650)/ student (including 1-year past paper) and Free Online Practice.

The exam date for SEAMO 2021 is 26 September 2021.

SASMO Level 1
Students who rank among the Top 40% in their country in their level receive a medal and certificate.
- Top 8% of students receive Gold medal and Certificate
- Next 12% of students receive Silver medal and Certificate
- Next 20% of students receive Bronze medal and Certificate
- Rest others get Participation certificates (digital copy) only.
Note: All participants who appeared in SEAMO will be eligible to join SEAMO X.
Top 40% of participants in SEAMO, who won medals, will be registered in the Champions Division of SEAMO X & next 60% will be registered in the Open Division of SEAMO X.

Champions Division
- Top 8% of students will recieve Gold medal and Certificate
- Next 12% of students will receive Silver medal and Certificate
- Next 20% of students will recieve Bronze medal and Certificate
- Remaining 60% of students will recieve Merit medal and Certificate
Open Division The Credit Medal and Certificate will be presented to each candidate in this group.
